Today we had our final presention and that sums up our work in Wuhan! So from 1pm onwards, we are as free as a bird! This is the time where we can fully enjoy our holidays! Somehow, money matters are killing my mood. I want to enjoy yet i have no money to enjoy. To buy sovenirs or to spend on my food? I know obviously i have to fill my stomach, but somehow i feel bad not buying sovenirs for everyone. As i was thinking of all these troubles, i looked back on how i spent money in the past 5 weeks. "Wa! Convert to Singapore dollars so cheap leh! Can buy.. Can buy.." Today, i'll be thinking "Why didn't i save some money to do shopping on my last week? So what if it is cheap? Now i don't even have the money to eat and have to think so hard when i buy anything"

And so, we wanted to explore other parts of Wuhan today after the presentation. I did not hesitate as during that time i thought i had enough money to last till 12 October. I thought that as long as i don't buy anything today, i'll be fine. Read on to know how i felt today.

Our destination for today: Lao Shu Jie (Rat Street) And no, there are no rats around.

It's still the national day holiday, thus the place was quite crowded.

Lao Shu Jie!

We went into a sex shop unknowingly. We were shocked to find out that all the keychains are actually all condoms!

Along the street.

We went into a cake shop and we saw some beautiful cakes!

It may not be obvious, but this cake is huge!

Notice the girls holding the umbrella. There were promoting some event. And yes, they succeeded in capturing people's attention.

This is a wine shop. I don't see these kind of pots used to store wine in Singapore. Up till today, there are traces of what their ancestors would do in the past. In Singapore, it has became so modernized and high-tech that we can't see any traditional methods used anymore.

Their fruit stalls. Notice that their tangerines are all green in colour.

Up till today, i find these small watermelons so cute! How i wish to buy this home to show my family. But! I know i shouldn't waste money.

It was very crowded! And this place is like the bugis street in Singapore. A great place to shop. Sigh. I practically walked aimlessly and following my friends to see whatever they wanted to buy. I was very sad.

Leather shop selling authentic leather. They even customize your name for you!

Look! They even sell hair extensions and hair wigs! Ahhh! So tempting. But i'm glad i resisted my friends tempting me.

The man making the leather product according to our preference. I felt that this would be a great present for my brother and my mother. I willingly parted with my money over here.

It's a trend in Wuhan to keep puppies. I see puppies the size of my palm almost everywhere yet i seldom see adult pet dogs. I always see stray adult dogs instead. It's kind of sad actually. These pets aren't treated with true feelings and are only raised because they are cute. The people here do not think far about how to raise the dog. When the dog is old or have lots of disease, then they will abandon the dog. I feel that China should have some sort of regulation on keeping pets to prevent the rise of stray dogs. Strays dogs are also carriers of germs and bacteria, so they should try to prevent the rise of stray dogs.

More shopping lanes! I ended up showing this sian face. I sincerely apologise to my friends for showing my black face. Sorry guys!

Here's an interesting scene. Apparently, there was an accident between a motorcycle and a taxi. I don't know what happened, but i can see that they are qarrelling on the middle of the road. And even after 5 minutes, they were still shouting and some outsiders even came to help. In Singapore, a call to the police will easily settle everything. And quarrelling on the middle of the road is quite inconsiderate, isn't it? It's not as though the motorcycle or taxi engine spoilt such that they can't drive to the side to talk things out.

Spot my leather strap! I think it is worth every penny of my money because i know the person will be happy to recieve it. Hehe!

So anyway, overall today was a bad day. Reason? I had to excess cash to go shopping and can only see others shop and let the others tempt me. It wasn't a good experience at all. I should have saved my money from the start. It's too late to regret now, and the only thing i can do is to spend lesser money now. My friends ate beef steak for dinner today. 22 Yuan each. Guess what did i eat? I waited for them to eat finish in the restaurant before going to the street stalls to get my dinner. Pathetic! But at least i still can fill my stomach, that's the most important thing right? Now i have a budget of 15 Yuan everyday. 5 More days to go. Financial planning in especially important now. I hope i can last till the end of this trip! Bless me people!
