- Yin/Yang is the most basic foundation of TCM. Yin and Yang must be in balance in our body
- Qi which is yang is the fundamental life force. Our own qi must be in harmony with qi of the environment
- There is Zheng Qi and Xie Qi. The balance of this qi can be affected by 6 external factors & 7 emotions
- Organs function under the balance of qi to attain balance
- The meridians move the qi and xue to regulate the yin and yang
- The 5 elements - Fire, Water, Wood, Metal, Earth must also be kept in balance.
Imbalance in these relationships lead to disease
We have to maintain the balance of everything in our body so that we will not get sick. But if you balance one part you may affect the other part right? Goodness gracious.. They are all interlinked!
During lessons, we also tried to locate these points on our body. Our teacher told us that if we pressed on these points correctly, we will feel a numb sensation. Unfortunately, i don't seem to locate those points. But still, if you have any of the syndromes as shown above, tell me. I can help you relieve the conditions. Hehe. No worries, these are safe points. Acupuntures are scary. If you press any wrong points that might be it - you're paralysed/dead.
Alright, that pretty much sums up what I’ve learnt today. Nothing much to blog about as I was in the room ever since lesson ended. Oh ya, we tried to sign up for a CCA today, unfortunately we don’t see any sports CCA over here. The students are also not willing to tell us where the sports booths are located at. So we gave up on that idea.
Hope tomorrow will be a better day for all of us. Mine was bad. Boo.
