Today's main activity was river rafting and trekking to see the waterfall. The trip to our destination was around 3.5 hours long and the bus driver kept sounding the horn throughout the journey. Anyway, I was quite excited to go on the 7km river rafting as we do not have this sport back in Singapore.

We had to wear their sandal which we bought for 2 yuan. Some bought theirs for only 1 yuan! I felt cheated. Have to buck up on my bargaining skills. Haha. Anyway, so this is know the sandal looks like. It’s very pr icky and uncomfortable, but it looks pretty!

The fun part of river rafting was the slide down and there are lots of “bumps”. We really can fly up in the air and my cap nearly fall off the boat. So mostly we had to paddle to complete the 7km ride. Along the way my partner, Daniel started to attack the locals with water. We end up getting very wet and trying to escape because they had their water guns plus they totally outnumbered us. I have to admit I did have lots of fun. But somehow, I felt like I was in some leadership training activity. It’s really very tiring and around 2km to the reaching point I just wanted to give up. But we never did give up and instead we were the second pair to reach the end point. We were very proud of ourselves. And so we camwhored while waiting for the rest to arrive.

I was trying to point to the topless man. Did you know that lots of china men are topless?

And even the locals tell us that translucent clothes is the trend now. Our dorm-in-charge told us this.

Not forgetting, we were so hungry after the river rafting that we start to dig out our snacks from our bags. Even if the food is tasteless, the more we eat the, the more we find it delicious. That was how hungry we were.

Next, we did some trekking and saw the beautiful waterfall. Unfortunately my camera died so I will have to wait for my friends to send me the photos before I can upload it here. It was a beautiful scenery and each had their own history attached to it, so it was very interesting. Not forgetting they have dinosaur fossil there! The only place where we can see dinosaur fossil is in the Singapore science centre. Here are some photos which we took on our way before our trip died.

Our grand hotel room:

Toilet super big! With hairdryer as well! I've learnt to treasure such things..

In addition, the hotel has a cable-channel television set, with many international channels in it. We gathered together to watch as it would be a pity if we had TV but we are not utilising it. We treasure such things alot now.
37 more days to go...
