Wow, today was a happening day. As we all know, Wuhan comprise of 3 parts – Wuchang, Hankou and Hanyang. Our campus is currently located in Wuchang and our travel destination was Bu Xing Jie, located in Hankou. We heard a shop keeper yesterday that it was just 30 mins further and so we decided to explore Hankou.

We set off at 12 pm only to reach there at 7pm. Firstly, the bus trip there was so long! I think I must have taken about 1.5 to 2 hours in total. When we reached hankou, we were super hungry so we went to eat xiao long bao and the other food there. It is made up of bread, not the usual transparent thin skin in Singapore. But it was cheap and good.

Yang Tze River!

So we begin our journey to Bu Xing Jie from there. Geez, we wanted to take taxi there but none wanted to fetch us! All our taxis were snatched by the locals as the just dash to the cab on the road while we waited to obediently on the pathway. After 15 mins or so, we gave up and went to ask directions from the policeman instead. (The policeman looked like a robber, with his shades on and his briefcase.) The policeman told us it was 30 mins walk away. We walked and walked and walked but it was still nowhere to be seen. We turned to the shopkeepers during our journey and little did we know that some of them would lie to us. They told us this direction, but when we turned our backs and leave, the sniggered and asked the person why she deliberately told us the wrong directions. Gosh! We were so angry!

But we didn’t want to give up as we had already travelled so far away from the campus and so we continued to find our way, stopping to grab a bite and do some shopping here and there. We saw many interesting things on the way. Let the pictures do the talking:

Their watermelons here are very small and cute!

Look at that balloon-like thing.

Small squids!

Cheap right!

She was just sleeping beside me in KFC

She was using a glove to eat in KFC. Afterwhich, she ate durian in the KFC.

Sit on one-legged chair hor. Dun play play.

Their construction workers all wearing army uniform. No idea why.

Our destination!

Haha! They were dancing not-so-enthusiastically to promote their shop.
You see! China kids have this split in their pants! I'm not kiding!

Not forgetting, i went there to do my manicure. It was super cheap and good. Only 10 Yuan for my design! And we witness a fight at that night market. What happened was that guy A accidentally stepped onto guy B's leg. He refused to apologised thus resulting in a fight. Guy A's girlfriend tried to protect her boyfriend only to get slapped by Guy B. Then guy A ran away trying to escape but ended up running into Guy B's friend. Therefore, the fight ended only when Guy B and 3 more of his friends attacked Guy A till he was bleeding profusiously. Scary.

So anyway, we were back to the campus 7 minutes late despite taking taxi at Wu Cheng. Geez, wish us luck when we see the teacher tomorrow. He sounds really angry! Alright, my leg hurts and i'm awfully tired. Good night.
