Anyway, I woke up at 5.45 am to see my friends all geared up to go out. Only then I realized that there was a blackout and I was so afraid to step in the toilet because it was so dark! Still, I went to the toilet but with the door open. After which I had to pack my bag in the dark. It wasn’t a pleasant experience. Thankfully the blackout happened on the day that we are about to leave the school, so we didn’t have to suffer any longer!
And so the bus ride to Mount Wudang was 6 hours long and I slept throughout without waking up so I have no complains about it. We reached there and the cold gush of wind greeted me. It was raining outside so it was exceptionally cold. And you know what was I wearing? Shorts, T-shirt and a windbreaker! Everyone was like staring at me and asking me whether I brought my jeans or thicker sweater out. Sadly, I brought none along. I mean, we were supposed to go there to climb up the mountain so should we wear something comfortable? How would anyone climb up wearing jeans? And besides, back in our campus, the weather was very hot. Plus the chaos in the morning due to the blackout, I simply grabbed my windbreaker and went out. And so, everyone stared at me in despair. No choice. It was too late to do anything.
We went for lunch and the first thing i saw in the restaurant was this:
After lunch, we had to take another bus in to our destination. I thought that the bus had aircon, but when i looked up i realised that the window was open.
Tai Zi temple
It wasn't fun to tour in the rain because the ground was slippery and the umbrellas will blocked our views.
Basically i'm a free thinker so i don't usually pray. So this visit was mainly a place of history for me. I just walked around without listening to the tour guide because even so i can't follow what they are saying.
Natural oxygen bar! I have to agree the air up there was great.

Self explanatory
Going in to try their tea.
Explaining to us about the benefits of the tea
Tea preparation. First you have to wash the cups with hot water.
Then, you pour away the water.
Then you start to pour hot water on the tea leaves and then you'll have your tea served!

Next destination, Zi Xiao Palace

The fortune telling there is very expensive! The cheapest is at least 100yuan.
There was this priest playing his flute on the top level. Looks as though he was filming for some movie, but actually he was not.
Due to the algae growth, it looks like a solid ground instead of water beneath.
The things they sell here are at least twice the price of our school selling the same product.
Our tourguide telling us about Mount Wudang
This was our last and final destination for the day: Nan Yan Palace
We are already quite high up on the mountain. Tomorrow, we'll be climbing higher!
Clouds or mists.. I'm not sure.
Interesting rubbish bins!
The person praying here would be facing the golden palace which was on the peak of the mountain.
I'm sure that these are clouds.
Long flight of stairs. Even by climbing this, we felt tired. Imagine the next day where we have to climb to the peak.
No cars are allowed on the path that we are walking.. Hmmm..
See! It was just a narrow path. How can vehicles drive in?
Bird's eye view from where i'm standing.
Once again...

The area near our hotel.
We crazy people bought and ate ice cream in such cold weather! The ice cream wouldn't melt. How nice! And yes, due to the clothes i was wearing, i was freezing after i ate the ice-cream. But hey! It was a once in a lifetime experience. Haha!
Anyway, this was how our hotel room looked like. Mind you, i was told that this hotel was better than the first hotel we went. So in my mind i was like thinking how good the hotel was... Obviously, i was cheated.
Dirty carpet and the mirror was directly infront of our beds. Thankfully, the aircon unit had heater function. We used this to warm ourselves.
The lamps are in the state where if you touch it, it might just fall off. I know you must be thinking that the bed looks fine. But! The bed sheets and pillow cases are all dirty! The best thing is that they refused to change a new set for you! Over here in China, they don't stress much on customer service. Seriously. This was not the only unpleasant experience i've had. In Singapore, customer service is very important!
This is our toilet. Looked so run down. The only good thing was that you can flush toilet paper down the toilet bowl. This is rare in Wuhan. But the toilet seat is spoilt. Sigh. Nothing was perfect.
Now i understand. It was just a lousy 2-star hotel. So much for being nicer than the previous hotel. I think my dorm totally win this hotel.

Besides the dirty and run down environment, there are many creepy crawlies in the room as well! And so, since we were give 2 glass cups by the hotel, we used it capture the creepy crawlies and kept them as pet during our stay there.
Pet no. 1. Mr. Londer. (Long legs + spider = Londer) This was caught with the help of a guy as none of us in the room dare to touch it.
Mr. Londer stayed in the toilet.
This is the scariest. Found in the toilet. I was the first to bathe and so when i opened the "curtain" in the toilet, i saw this gigantic cricket! My heart nearly stopped! And so to avoid looking at this disgusting thing, i made the whole toilet wet as i stood far far away from the bathing area. Up till today, i don't dare to look at this photo for more then 1 second. Thinking back, i was so brave to snap this photo just to show you guys.
Pet no. 2. Mr. Crick.

I think it is the child of the mother cricket i found in the toilet. We only saw this at night when we were closing the curtain in the room. And since it was late at night, there are no guys! And my friend couldn't reach the cricket and so i had to do it. I used the remaining cup and caught this cricket. If i'm in Singapore, i would have ran 3 metres away from that disgusting thing, don't even think about me catching it. I was so afraid that i would drop the cup on the floor if the cricket moved. Thankfully i managed to catch it! I'm so proud of myself. I placed Mr. Crick outside away from the toilet as i was afraid the mother will come out to help the child.
One more thing. Just when we were about to fall asleep, the aircon broke down. Just our luck. Seriously! What's happening! And so we opened the window. Thankfully it was cold outside. But for the whole night with out the sound of the aircon, i could hear Mr. Crick making the cricket sound! Gosh! I was so scared! Somehow i managed to fall asleep and the next day when i go check on my pets, i realised that the mother cricket was gone!! I was so glad that we are only staying in that hotel for 1 night. I can't imagine another night there.
