Today’s test wasn’t 1% of how I thought the questions would be like. It was…. Harder! I don’t really understand what the questions are asking. To think that I read the whole notes for 3 times… I can practically memorize everything in the notes yet the questions which came out are mostly on what the lecturer went through during lessons and not in the notes! Good luck to me!

After test we went back to rush on our report and skipped lunch. Why did we choose to procrastinate in the first place? Now, all of us are suffering… Hungry, tired and stessed. This is cause imbalance of the five elements in TCM. Plus being in the aircon room all day long will lead to excess Yin. Haha! I don’t even know what I’m talking about right now. I’m just very….. tired.

We went out for dinner and ate in some wonton shop. This shop is not a roadside stall so it is supposed to be cleaner. We were advised not to buy food from the illegal food stalls as currently 6 students are down with food poisoning and are no IV drips. (Over here the only treatment they will give you is to put you on IV drips. So whenever we have diarrhea, we will ask the person if he/she wants to go diao zui (drip water in hokkien, I think)) Anyway, the wanton shop wasn’t that clean too. There was a fly each found in the soup of my 2 friends. I think we can never find a clean shop in china. We can only depend on our immune system to protect us.

And I bought a lantern today! It’s something like this:

Flying Lantern

Initially I wanted to light this up during mid-autumn festival. But then again, this is rare in Singapore. As in I can’t find this back in Singapore so I think I shall bring it back home!

At night, there was this welcoming cum national day celebration in the university. So tonight, the school look exceptionally beautiful!

That building there is our Administration building. It looks completely different during day time!

We wanted to go back straight to the dorm after dinner to rush out the report but we felt that it would be a pity to miss this concert as not everyday will we see such performance in China! And so we stayed on and joined the crowd in the celebrations. We couldn't really see much as there were simply too many people there!

Typical performance - just like in Singapore. Some artistic dance which we singaporean youngsters won't understand. However, they chinese students kept on cheering! (I don't see what's there to cheer for though.

Look at the "pointy" figures at the center of the photo. Those are all humans. Imagine how many people are there at the celebration.

People everywhere!

A video to let you guys "feel" the atmosphere there. The whole school is singing. It's like Singaporeans singing . Haha. They students really stood up and sang proudly.

Wushu Performance

Almost towards the end of the concert

At the celebration, something hilarious happened. It seems that the China girls there are interested in Singaporean guys. What happened was that they (China girls) were forming a human chain to prevent people from entering. And so Daniel tried to talk to them to let us into that area as there are lesser people inside so that we can have a better view of the performance. Upon knowing that we are Singaporeans, they all became so excited and began speaking english to us. Daniel then introduced another guy (our singaporean friend) to the girls and they became more excited than before! Because of the fact that we are Singaporeans, they made an exception and let us into the restricted area! How cool is that? Haha. They were obviously interested in him and so Daniel told the girls that guy's number. Hahaha! That was where the fun began!

Back in our dorm when we were doing the report together (we're in the same group), one of the girls smsed my friend and said he was cute and that she would like to practise speaking english with him. Haha! And so we were all teasing him and he was blushing all the while. I shall not reveal too much details on my blog. I just find this very funny and totally unexpected. Now that mid-autumn festival is approaching, probably my friend will have a date...... Hahaha! We shall see!
