Here are the photos of the unfortunate event last night:

1 word to describe everything: DISGUSTING!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Today we went shopping at Hankou. This is the second time my clique is going there so we sort of knew what we wanted to do over there. So anyway, our first stop today was at the Wuhan Beach. It was very windy this morning and so we saw many people selling kites and flying kites. There was this very cool kite which flew very high up into the sky. Anyway, my group of 6 friends bought a total of 9 kites. Lesson learnt from buying kites: We learnt how to bargain from the locals. But we weren’t daring enough as the tour guide we can try to get more discount. We should always start bargaining from half price then slowly increase. Will try that next time.

It's not called Si Shou Jian in China.

Group Photo!

> This beach reminds me of Singapore. Our beach looks like this too right?

So many pretty kites!

Deciding which kite to buy

This is the very cool kite!

I think there's more than 100 of the small lantern kites joined together

So next we went to JiangHan Lu to do some shopping and have our nails done. We wanted to eat the Tang Bao again unfortunately the stall was beside some smelly tofu store. Up till now we still can’t stand the pungent smell of it. And nearby we saw a stall selling dog meat soup. I really can’t imagine people eating dog meat. It seems…… cruel. And I realized that in Wuhan, I don’t see any stray cats and I don’t really see birds around. But I do see stray dogs! I wonder why…..

On our way to JiangHan Lu:

This is a very westernized building. A rare sight in Wuhan. Based on the history of Wuhan, this is the part where many traders came in the past as it is near the Yang Tze River and the Han River

Anyway, we settled in a Korean restaurant for lunch. They have great service as they literally barbequed everything we ordered for us. And we had all these for 42 yuan each. It was worth every penny spent. So basically we wasted time finding where to eat, finding where to have our nails done and even taking an EXTREMELY long time to decide on the design which we wanted. And by the time I was done with my manicure and pedicure, we were already late to meeting up with the whole group. I felt so guilty that everyone had to wait for me. I will have better time management next time. I promise.

We didn't have the time to come here. We only saw this store when the bus crove passed it.

Their local pharmacy

In singapore, they will mostly classify the drugs according to its treatment, eg. fever medication one shelf, pain medication on another shelf. It is somewhat different from the local pharmacy in Wuhan

We went to eat our fried rice again at the roadside stall for dinner. We never fail to buy fried rice from there ever since day 1 such that they always reserve seats for us to eat there. And I also tried the green bean drink from there. Finally I found a drink which was not diluted. In fact, it tastes great!

On the way to our favourite stall

Other foods sold along the street

This is our favourite stall. See the oil they use? Sinful!

Mine and Jasmine's pedicure. HAHA! So pretty! I love it!

Litters once again

Look at their men wearing the uniform. The way they unbottom the top few buttons and tuck out their shirt makes them look like a gangster! And they are allowed to show intamacy towards their girlfriend in public! How unlike Singapore. We have strict rules when people wearing their uniforms

This dog's name is Liu Liu

All enjoying their fried rice

After dinner we went to the supermarket to buy fish food (Daniel bought me fish for me, will upload the photo next time), play pool again and then went back to our rooms to take our kites then we went kite flying in the school!

Today alone i saw 5 children with spits on their pants. My goodness.

Rice Wine

"... this wine is good to you health" Sounds right or wrong? You decide.
Every night they will show a movie. Then people will gather around to watch it. It's like people surrounding Poh Kim (a shop selling DVDs and VCDs) in Singapore.

They sell pretty cakes!

My favourite design of all! I don't see this in neighbourhood bakeries in Singapore.

Kite Flying:
Unfortunately today was not windy so we tried to run up and down the slope to make the kite fly. These are the locals reponses:
“They are wearing slippers to run. Nonsense.”
“Today has no wind yet they are flying kites.”
“They have nothing better to do.”

But if you ignored all the comments, it was actually a fun experience as most of us seldom fly kites in Singapore. So we learnt how to tie our kites and how to fly kites from one another. We joked when the kites fall and get stuck on the tree and we helped one another to try to make the kites fly. We only gave up when we were tired of running up and down the slope. It was awfully tiring.
Figuring how to tie the string on the kite

Last but not least, a picture of myself running to make the kite fly.

We then went back to the room and i had a shock - There was a huge spider on my bed and I was sitting beside it unknowingly! My goodness. Creepy crawlies always leave a psychological effect on me as I will keep feeling very itchy after that. Thankfully me friend helped me to flush the spider down the toilet. I hope that tonight the other spiders won’t come onto my bed when I’m sleeping. There are still some spiders on the ceiling!

4 hours of lessons tomorrow. I better rest early. Good night everyone! 5 more days till the release of exam results! Scary!
p.s. Photo credited to Brenda for the first half of the day as I forgot to bring my memory card out. Thank you, Brenda.
