Let me blog this hilarious event before I blog about my trip today as this memory is still fresh in my mind. Knew what I did? I was about to have a bath after I came back from our outing. And so I was hanging my clothes on the hanger behind the door. However, I forgot that I kept my disposable panty and panty liner in between my shirt and so my disposable panty slipped out and fell into the toilet hole. I panicked at that moment and at the next moment, my panty liner fell out and into the hole as well! Everything happened so fast!

I was so embarrassed to tell my roommates but knowing that if I don’t take it out, it might choke the whole toilet system. That’s the reason why we are not even supposed to throw toilet paper down. And so, my friends burst into laughter upon knowing what happened. Even I could not stop laughing. We then tried to figure out how to take out those things in the hole. So we used the pole which was used to hang the clothes to reach deep into the hole. Instead of taking out my stuffs, I dug up shit instead. My goodness! We really felt like puking! I even wrapped my hand in a plastic bag and tried to take out the stuff inside the hole. All of them simply watched and laughed at me.

And so I managed to take out my panty but my panty liner was still inside! As it was flat and light, it was hard to take out. So we continued laughing and brainstormed at that moment. We tried to flush it through the system but it just would not be flushed away. It continued to float on the water! And so we thought of other ideas but we finally decided on this – to pour soap into the hole so that the foam will form when we flush and push the panty liner up. Thinking back now I know it makes no sense, but still we were lost at that point of time. And so we did as planned accordingly and instead of the panty liner floating up, it was flushed away! Joke. Seriously it is the joke of the year.

So now the panty liner has been flushed away. Everyone reading my blog, please don’t expose me to the teachers and please pray for me that my room’s toilet won’t be chocked for at least the period when I’m still staying in the room. Please! Thank you!

Lesson learnt: Put my things into a plastic bag next time when going to bathe.

Alright, so today we went to Wuhan Museum. Unfortunately, we went reached there at 8.30a.m but the museum only opens at 9a.m. Lesson learnt: Next time if I ever organize any event, I should check out the operating hours of the place and plan the timing properly.

Since it was not open, we went to the East Lake Tingtao. Today was windy in the morning, but in the afternoon it was very hot again. There was nothing much to blog over there. So let the pictures do the talking:

Our tour guide for the day

I don't think we can find this flower in Singapore

Notice the dead fish there?

The leaves make it look like it's autumn already

The river is choppy because of the strong wind blowing

Lotus flower

Free rides for the elderly. The normal ride for young people costs 200yuan to book the car

Qu Yuan

There are lots of bell chimes in the past

Notice that the steps are curved in at the end? It makes it very dangerious as it is easier to fall down. They should improve the design.

This tree is unique. I like it!

This green patch here is just algae on water. I totally looked like concrete floor right?

There are numerous exhibits in the museum so i am only going to show some interesting pictures only.
Going to the museum:

Floor plan of the past

Sword of Gou Jian, the king of Yue

This is the most interesting exhibition

Inside the tomb

This is the tomb found

This is a national treasure as you can't get an exact replicate anywhere due to the small, specific design.
This bronze weight is used to put on the corners of the carpet. Even simple tools has such explicit design
This is how you play the beautiful instrument shown above this picture

Notice that most people don't belong to our group. The locals simply cut us out from our tour guides and squeeze in to listen to free explanation.

Armour for the horse. So cool.

The amour which the soldiers wore in the past

Flying arrow heads. I think this is scary. They have spikes at the tail of the arrows so that it will be difficult to pluck out if it is in the human flesh. So cruel.

As far as i know, this is a real coffin. The coffin for the royal family is beautiful.

I learnt from this that Ax is the preferred form in modern American English. I thought that we can only spell it as axe.

I realized that we are so cheapskate. We went to the toilet in the museum knowing that it is clean as we would usually avoid going to the public toilet. And so we saw the toilet bowl there and we were like so excited. I wanted to defecate in the toilet as I don’t like the toilet in our dormitory but I am afraid that my friends might have to wait too long, so I end up not shitting. Little did I know that my friend all felt this way too! I only know of it when we were discussing about the nice, clean toilet. These toilet bowls are rare in china! The only thing I hope to change in my room is the toilet. The bed is still bearable. I’ve learn to appreciate Singapore better.

So anyway during lunch we went to some food street and eat the local food there. Over there we had to pay using a card, just like the Singapore Kopitiam stall. There are lots of varieties of food there to choose from, some are famous Wuhan food. Unfortunately we were only given 40 minutes to eat. So after deciding on what to eat, finding seat and ordering food, we basically left 15 minutes to eat. It was a pity because there are many interesting food there which we don’t have in Singapore. We made up our mind to go back there again if we have the time in future.

Tu dou pi. This is Wuhan's speciality and it's delicious!

Lotus roots soup. I miss home-cooked soup. This soup was fabulous as well.

Tang Bao. (aka Xiao Long Bao in Singapore) I feel that this is nicer than in Ding Tai Fung. And it's cheaper!

Glutinous rice wrapped over You Tiao. Not that fabulous though. This's also Wuhan's speciality.

Food street

Next, we went to the Yellow Crane Tower. Today’s yellow crane tower is totally unlike the one in the past as they had rebuilt it for 4 times already. So this tower was the 5th model and every model is very different from one another. However, the history of this tower is very interesting and the view from on top of the towel was magnificent.

We bought 3 pomegranate for 10 Yuan. I remember seeing this in Singapore but in a smaller size. Now, i don't really see it anymore.

Special bamboo curving inwards. Pretty scenery which we won't see in Singapore.
Here's the yellow crane which the tower was named after. Interesting history regarding the tower.

There's the Chang Jiang Bridge.

Just 5 minutes ago I went down to buy a new pole to hang our clothes because we threw the previous pole as it was contaminated with shit. Haha. Anyway, the main point is that when I went down, it is very cold. The wind is blowing so strongly. I bet tomorrow will be cold. The weather change here can be really drastic. It was cold this morning yet hot in the afternoon which i think is the cause of my headache now. Anyway, I really hope tomorrow will be a cold day as we are going shopping! Meanwhile, don’t forget to pray hard for my toilet. Thank you. Bye!
